U.S. stock futures are lower. The September FOMC meeting begins on Tuesday and the rate hike decision will be announced on Wednesday. Markets are expecting the announcement of a 75 basis point hike, while recent disappointing CPI data has increased market expectations for future rate hikes. US Treasury yields are mixed. The economic calendar is light for today and housing starts data will be released tomorrow before the bell. European markets are lower in midday trading and Asian markets closed lower.
