U.S. Stock Futures Are Lower and Yields Are Rising Ahead of the Fed Announcement

U.S. stock futures are lower. Equities are lower in the pre-market and Yields are rising ahead of the Fed announcement on Wednesday. Markets are expecting the Fed to raise rates by 25 basis points, slowing from the pace of a 50 basis point rise announced at the previous meeting. Earnings season continues and 29% of S&P 500 companies have reported Q4 results. 69% of these companies have beat market EPS expectations. European stocks are trading higher and Asian stocks finished mixed in a return to action after the Lunar New Year holiday. Crude oil and gold are moving lower. The US dollar is mostly unchanged.
