U.S. stock futures are higher. Stock futures are making slight gains following yesterday's trading session, which closed with losses due to dampened investor sentiment caused by Moody's downgrade of credit ratings for a selection of regional banks. Yields are little changed ahead of the July CPI release tomorrow morning at 8:30. The CPI release will be closely watched and consensus expectations are that both headline and core inflation will have increased 0.2% in the month of July, matching the figures from the previous month. In the international markets, Asian stocks finished mixed in response to the first Chinese decrease in consumer prices in 28 months. European markets are moving higher in afternoon trading after the Italian government has revised the windfall tax proposal for banks that sent markets lower yesterday. The US Dollar is moderately weaker, while crude prices are on the rise. Conversely, gold prices are trading lower.
