Futures Indicate Slightly Higher Open This Morning

U.S. stock futures are higher. Futures indicate a slightly higher open this morning after markets reversed to close the session lower yesterday, as jitters of an expanding Middle East conflict gripped markets. Treasury yields are mostly unchanged this morning following yesterday’s backup in bond yields. Investors continue to digest Q1 earnings reports throughout the week. Federal Reserve officials will continue their speaking engagements, including a speech from Chairman Powell this afternoon. International markets are seeing pressure in response to the Iran-Israel conflict; Asian markets closed the session sharply lower, and European markets are also selling off in afternoon trading. Crude oil prices are fluctuating, and gold prices are on the rise. The U.S. Dollar Index is steady.
