U.S. stock futures are lower. Futures are slightly lower after a sluggish start to the year for markets. Stock indexes moved downward on Tuesday and Wednesday, while yields ticked higher following the release of the Fed minutes yesterday afternoon. The minutes acknowledged that rate cuts are projected for  2024 but remained cautious and non-committal about the timing of these cuts. Yields are once again rising after weekly initial jobless claims came in softer than expected at 202k, compared to expectations and the prior week's figure of 218k. Investor attention will now shift to the December jobs report, set to be released tomorrow morning before the market opens. Looking globally, Asian markets closed lower, and European markets show mixed results in afternoon trading. Crude and gold prices are increasing, while the U.S. Dollar is slightly weaker.
