U.S. stock futures are lower. Equities are lower in the pre-market and Yields are higher as we return to trading action today after a holiday weekend. Investors continue to grapple with the Fed rate hike trajectory after January inflation reads for consumers and producers came in hotter than expected. Earnings season is beginning to come to a close. So far 82% of S&P 500 companies have reported Q4 results with 68% of those companies beating EPS expectations. European markets are broadly lower and Asian markets closed to the downside. Crude is trading mixed. Gold and the US dollar are mostly unchanged. PMI data and Existing Home Sales for January are set to release after the bell this morning.
